Hi bmalin,
The message is clear that you can't connect over SSH to the remote host as it says connection refused.
Task failed: Copying JRE to the remote host
on host: <eventsservice.fqdn>
with message: Failed to upload file: java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused (Connection refused)
When you say that you have configured the SSH passwordless configs, Have you manually tested that you can able to connect to the remote host using the ssh command manually.
Can you please verify it using the below command
ssh <eventsservice.fqdn>

Bruce,
This is manged in the java.security file of the jre and so you need to modify it in order to disable it
Here are the steps for the same:
Navigate to <EUM_HOME_DIRECTORY>/eum-processor/
Stop EUM Server
Linux: bin/eum.sh stop
Windows: bin\eum-processor.bat stop
Navigate to <EUM_HOME_DIRECTORY>/jre/lib/security/
Edit java.security
Find the property jdk.tls.disabledAlgorithms and the algorithms you wish to disable. Save java.security when finished.
Navigate to to <EUM_HOME_DIRECTORY>/eum-processor/
Start EUM Server
Linux: bin/eum.sh start
Windows: bin\eum-processor.bat start

Looks like your events-service is down and so can you please start it up manually using the below command
cd <events_service_install_dir>
nohup bin/events-service.sh start -p conf/events-service-api-store.properties &
In case if it fails to start, you can refer the below KB article to see if you are running into the same issue as described in this

You can look into "Server Connection Time (SCT)" to check how long it took for you to connect to the server
Interval between the time that a user initiates a request and the start of fetching the response document from the server or application task. Includes the time spent on redirects, domain lookups, TCP connects and SSL handshakes.

Can you try to start it manually and verify
cd <events_service_install_dir>
nohup bin/events-service.sh start -p conf/events-service-api-store.properties &
Note: Before you invoke the above command, Please make sure to remove any staleevents-service-api-store.id that might be present . Location for instance [/opt/AppDynamics/Controller/events_service/bin/../events-service-api-store.id]

I dont think we have a way to retreive Browser Snapshots using an API but you can use analytics API as an alternative to fetch these value.

Kin,
I dont see anything thats stands obvious in the logs to know the reason why its not starting up,so can you try to start it manually and let us know if it starts up fine or not
1. cd <events_service_install_dir>
2. Execute the below command and make sure to set the JAVA_HOME variable before executing this command
export JAVA_HOME=<Path to your JRE>
nohup bin/events-service.sh start -p conf/events-service-api-store.properties &
If the issue persists, Please share the latest logs to review it further

Thanks for the snippet but can you share the complete log file to review the preceding entries to understand why it was stopped along with the events-service-api-store.properties file.
You can also use the below commands to retreive the logs
./platform-admin.sh retrieve-events-service-logs
Further, does this command list the events-service node fine for you
./platform-admin.sh list-events-service-nodes
./platform-admin.sh show-events-service-health

Thanks and it looks to be a permission problem to me.
can you use echo %JAVA_HOME% and echo %PATH% to see if the JAVA_HOME & PATH are set correctly and then try starting it manually after clearing the pid file and verify.

Hi Abhijeet,
I meant the correct port 9090 which is the default one, the analytic agent uses.
Port 9080 is the events-service port.
How are you starting this analytic agent. is it via the Machine agent or individually?
Can you try starting it like below and see if it helps
To start the agent service from the command line:
bin\analytics-agent.exe service-start

Hi Abhijeet,
Can you cross check if the port 9090 of the analytic agent is being used by some other process in your system by using the following command
1. Open cmd with "Run as Administrator"
2. netstat -ano | findstr 9090
if the output of above step (2) shows any other process using it, then please stop the process and try to start the analytic agent again by clearing the below pid file from the below location and then verify if it starts up or not.
[D:\Appd\machineagent-bundle-64bit-windows-4.3.3.0\monitors\analytics-agent\analytics-agent.id]
