@niketnilay i wasn't quite able to follow....is it possible to do this in js...or in any other simpler way??? please help.
when i select head 5 bars should appear without scroll...and when is elect head 10....the first 5 bars should remain as it is and a scroll should come so that i can scroll down and see remaining 5....similarly for head 15...first 5 and then scroll down for rest...i got the scrolldown using overflow-y: auto !important;
i just want to fix a limit for scroll so that it appears for head>5...
been stuck at this for a long time...need help.

@niketnilay i am using a custom 2d donut chart which was created by my teammates...when i click on the donut new panel is opening as a drilldown but it shows no results found...if i check the query the token is passed just as i have given.. token=$click.value$...it is not taking the clicked value .

is it possible to fix the width of the bar..?? initially just say show 5 bars in a chart no need of scrolling...but if when i select 10 or more scroll should come without changing the size of the bar....first it should show just 5 and when i scroll down the other 5 will be visible?? can it be done ?? please help

is it possible to fix the width of the bar....as in if i am showing 30 bars the width should be same as when iam showing 10 bars...of course i have to scrolldown to see all the bars ...but can it be done???

hello all,
I want to add field values of a table with field values of another table in a dashboard both belonging to same index.
example:
i have indexed 2 csv files to have 2 different table.
table 1 data is as follows:
Lead Actuals Forecast Budget
A. 10 20 200
B. 15 15 300
25 35 500 Total
table2 data is as follows:
hghfa NotActuals NotForecast NotBudget
other costs: 30 30 400
remaining: 25 30 500
what i want is now to add the fields in table1 and get the total(columnwise) and from the total subtract other costs from table2.
and display the TOTAL at the bottom of either table1 or table2.
I just want to subtract the Other costs field values from the Total from table 1.
how can i do this?

I've created a chart using the search: base search | chart values(y) over x
It charts perfectly except for the fact that there isn't an interval for the x axis, and I haven't been able to find a way to edit in an interval through UI options or XML editing.
Is it even possible to have intervals on the x axis if it's not time based? And if it's possible how?

hello all,
I want to plot a graph against 2 fields. let x axis be percentage and y axis be budget.
i want to split the x axis scale as 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9, 10,20,30....100%
and y axis i only need 1 value (say budget=2M) in the middle of the axis. so the values will be plotted above and below the 2M line accordingly.
since the values are all scattered i don't want to use the column chart.....i want to represent the graph points as some sort of icons like small cars or trophies etc.
is this possible?if so please help...

I am still not able to get it....i have a placed an image under C:\Program Files\Splunk\etc\apps\aapname\appserver\static and copied the same url in xml.....what am i missing here?
and one more thing in your case if search is the app why have you put it inside the static folder? shouldn't it be something like app\search(appname)\static\image?
I am still a novice in splunk...so please help.

which URL i am supposed to put?
path: C:\Program Files\Splunk\etc\apps\aapname\appserver\static\images
this is my path.

Hi All,
I have 3 columns forecast, actuals and percentage. what i need is based on the values of the percentage column i want to apply a condition to it and color the forecast and actuals columns accordingly.
example:
forecast actuals percentage
100 150 1%
300 200 10%
500 400 50%
condition i want to apply is if Percentage is Greater than 1% and less than 10% apply color red to forecast and actuals
if Percentage is Greater than 10% and less than 50% apply color green to forecast and actuals
how can i achieve this using java script and css?
