We are currently using Foglight as a monitoring tool and are in the process of moving to Appdynamics. Our dilemma is that we have to disparate environments to monitor and need to see the monitoring in a single window.

1. We have an environment which hosts our front end and omni channel in a secure DMZ that connects to an ESB and then to the back end.

The problem we have is that connection in the DMZ is restricted to one direction only and connection from the DMZ to the internal network is not allowed.

Any suggestions on how to architech such an environment without having a controller in the DMZ.

Hi,

Could you please confirm whether the runtime environment is java . If it is  under supported environment then our java agent can monitor your application.

Please refer to the below link for supported environment

https://docs.appdynamics.com/display/PRO42/Java+Supported+Environments

You can add the java agent to the application separately and  monitor your individual applicantion but you might not get the complete flow if there is any unsupported environment in between.

suggesstion: if request context and exit call is out of the box for call that goes through DMZ  you may need to create custom rule on the ESB tier to get the visibility to the ESB tier.

Thanks,

Atyuha
