At Splunk, we believe knowledge is power and learning has its own rewards – with one caveat: winning Splunk swag makes it all feel much more official. So, we held a contest to encourage everyone, everywhere to try out our free, self-paced Splunk Education Training Courses. It was pretty popular.
The Curious are the Adventurers
Apparently, people are curious. Between November and January, over 47,000 thirsty-for-knowledge learners took at least one free Splunk Education course by simply enrolling on the Splunk Training and Certification website. Splunk is committed to making Splunk Education more available and easily-accessible to anyone, anywhere. So, we embarked on a mission to grow our library of free Splunk Training courses this year – now offering 33 free self-paced training courses, while also supporting other learner types on different channels like YouTube and webinars.
You Win, and You Win, and Everybody Wins
Oprah would be proud. The contest awarded a $100 Splunk Store Gift Card to 500 randomly-selected learners who completed three or more unique free, self-paced training courses between November 14 and January 31, 2023. Either people are really excited to learn or they just wanted to collect another Splunk t-shirt, because more than 5,800 people participated in the contest! In fact, we had 19 very ambitious people complete more than 20 free courses during that time period. Congratulations to our 500 winners who are now the proud owners of Splunk t-shirts, socks, water bottles, or whatever else they found on the Splunk Store.
Quoting the Curious
Winning is rewarding. Learning feels even more amazing. But, don’t take it from us. Several learners wanted to share their stories and what easy-accessibility to free education means to them.
