Assuming you load the csv file into Splunk, you could get the users per day by zipcode in a bar chart with something like this: source="zipcodetest.csv" sourcetype="csv" | timechart span=1d count(user) by zipcode Then choose the "Bar" visualization.

Suggestion: Check to see if the Splunk Forwarder ports are in use on the machines with the strange behavior. The default ports would be 8089 and 9997. Shut down the Splunk Forwarder: splunk stop Check the port status using a command like netstat: netstat -np TCP | find "8089" Try for the UDP protocol and for port 9997

To obtain the number of daily events that matches your search criteria for the month of June 2015 per websitename, try this: your search criteria websitename=* earliest=”6/1/2015:00:00:00” latest=”6/30/2015:23:59:59” | timechart span=1d count by websitename limit=0 By using limit=0 you will return all values (default is limit=10)

All 3 Splunk 5 Apps (Network, Security, Access) indicate that they support up to Splunk 6.0. Has anyone successfully deployed any of the F5 apps on Splunk 6.2. If so, which ones, any issues, challenges, workarounds? Does anyone have insight into when 6.2 will be officially supported?

Splunk does not explicitly require any additional packages to be installed on a Debian system. Installation instructions may be found at: http://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/Splunk/6.2.2/Installation/InstallonLinux#Debian_DEB_install Accurate system time is essential for the optimum operation of all Splunk components. Please consider installing and configuring as a service ntp on all your Debian systems hosting Splunk.
