Hi team, Finally cracked it. Step -1 Might have to add environment variables for Splunk and check whether are you able to run Splunk command globally. Step -2 Import the proper module related to the script. Example:- The below screen shot indicates the error. to resolve the above issue below module need to import from splunk.appserver.mrsparkle.lib.util import make_splunkhome_path Post importing the module the issue resolved Thanks & Regards, Reddi.

Hi, The issue got resolved by adding Splunk home path in environment variables. But another problem started as shown below. [root@Searchhead2 bin]# vi cybereason.py [root@Searchhead2 bin]# splunk cmd python cybereason.py Traceback (most recent call last): File "cybereason.py", line 25, in <module> _SPLUNK_HOME = make_splunkhome_path([""]) NameError: name 'make_splunkhome_path' is not defined [root@Searchhead2 bin]# Could some one let me know what is the error related to. I understood like we need to define make_splunk_home_path. But don't know where to define. Kindly help me with the same. Thanks & Regards, Reddi

I have indexing data into Splunk. once the Cold bucket time period reached one month the data have to move to the frozen bucket every month. The frozen bucket is available in NAS file system. Could some one help me how to move data from cold bucket path to NAS path. let me know in this scenario what will help a. any script need to put ? b. we can mention directly in index stanza it will move ? Hi All, I hope everyone doing good. I have One deployment server and around 10,000 Universal forwarders in my environment. I need to update the server.conf configuration in all(10,000) Universal forwarders under the path $Splunk_Home$ /etc/system/local/server.conf . Hi All,
In my environment having a huge number of host, source and source types. From some of the host or source or source type, we are not getting data. Wanted to find which host or source or source type not sending data into Splunk and from what time onwards host, source, source type not sending data. Wanted to see in a table like below format

Thanks for the reply, Jaime. I think for my question no need for any examples or data. But I will elaborate In-Service Analyzer we could find the top 50 Services and top 50 KPIs.To change this value by click on the gear icon we could able to edit, but I don't want to do change these value every time will log-in. Wanted to change top 50 KPIs value background and put it as 100.

Have to monitor logs From THE NXLOG, ZENOSS AND EMITE. Actually for integrating emite I did not find any app in Splunk store. For integrating nxlog, zenoss and emite with Splunk is there any process?
I know by using will fetch the logs but I don't want that. Have to integrate and monitor the logs.
