HI, I'm currently have 2 applications I would like to collect logs and metrics from, to do that I'm using Azure application insight, so all logs and metrics about my applications are streamed to there. so far, I have used only 'Azure monitor add-on for Splunk' to pull Metrics, Activity logs, and diagnostic logs from Azure event hub, but now I need to collect also application level logs. as far as I understood, this 'Azure monitor add-on for Splunk' does not support pulling of application logs( only Metrics, Activity logs, and diagnostic logs). Do you know what method/ Add-ons should I use to collect application level logs? there is another add-on that I can use? if yes, I will have to use 2 add-ons, do you recommend that? I'm using an HF to pull log/metric data from Azure event Hub. I know how to stream Activity log/diagnostic logs to Azure Event Hub, but I don't understand how can I stream Metrics to Azure Event Hub. I would like to know what are the specific steps and specific component I'll need to perform/create in order to configure/use Azure Diagnostics Splunk add-on. first from Azure side (e.g. VM with Azure Diagnostics extension ?storage account? what are the benefits of using each one of the approaches (Universal Forwarder(UF) on the VMs over using the Splunk Add-on for Microsoft Cloud Services)? Which one of them is easier to install/configure? and why? Assuming I already using UF on-prem and I used to it. does it make sense to keep working with it also with Azure ? or Splunk Add-on for Microsoft Cloud Services will be more beneficial for me? and why?
