I believe a microservices agent is all that is necessary for a microservices based application. Also, as with all "APM agents" the machine agent is a seperate install, and therefore licensed seperately (even though it comes "bundled."). So you won't lose the "machine agent" part. No you shouldn't have to create an email template, I was just suggesting that you can use the template's "test" function to figure out if you are seeing the correct metrics. Just so I understand though, what health rule/policy/event are you setting it to trigger on? I see you're telling the email digest to trigger in the event that a Health Rule violation starts, upgrades, etc. but what health rule is it pointed to? Maybe that's why it's not reading the event message correctly, it's not sure what event it's supposed to report on. Usually, you build a health rule, then create a policy which triggers that health rule, and then an action you want that policy to do (in this case send you an email). If you're trying to get routine reports however, you might be better served building yourself a dashboard with all the server disk space/volume metrics in it and then setting up a report to email you at whatever frequency you want. Essentially what that message is saying is you still have a Tier and a Node associated with that agent so it doesn't want to delete it and orphan all that data associated with it. You're probably in the right place which is to click the cog wheel in the top right and then click on "AppDynamics Agents." Try removing the Tier and Node it's associated with and then deleting it. I haven't tried it myself but can you test this: Click on Applications, then ... Actions, and check the checkbox to "include application from user experience," then click on the UE application, and then go to Configuration > Instrumentation > Data Collectors > Add? I think you just need to delete the BT from the Controller, which will remove it as a "locked down" transaction. When it's next called it should follow normal rules and end up back at the All Other Traffic section. I don't think so, the basic reports function is really limited. Rumor is they're re-writing the Dashboards and Reports feature to expand it, but not sure if that's true. Your best bet may be to make it into an exportable dashboard instead of a Report. I think you can get that by creating a widget, selecting "Metric Value" and then "Select a Metric" next to Metric to Display, and then choosing "Custom (Use any Metric)" from the Select a metric to Display drop down and then for "Select a Metric" change the first drop down box to "Sum" or "Count" and then for "Select a Metric" drop down, find the metric that trigger's your health rule, it'll probably be under "Overall application performance?"
