Splunk AppDynamics

Controller and Event Service Physical Server?

We are going to install AppDynamics (medium size) on-premise on a physical server to comply with AppDynamics recommendation especially for the disk I/O performance. We are going to install the Event Service on a separate server. My question is should the Event Service be installed on a physical server too or is it okay if the Event Service is installed on a virtual server?

Thank you!

It's ok to install on a virtual server as well, that's how my environment is.

On-Prem Controller, with a seperate EUM, Private Synthetic, and Event servers as VMs. In my opinion it's better to do this because you can horizontally scale your Events server if you ever need to, but you can't cluster your EUM server currently.
