What are the procedures for normal shutdown/startup if my systems will be rebooted for OS maintenance?

We are applying OS maintenance this weekend and we are a brand new APM environment.  We want to know what the correct procedures would be to perform a normal shutdown then a normal startup after reboot.

We have all APM components - ECH, Controller, EUM, DB agents, Machine and Java agents.

Is there specific hierachy for the shutdown/startup?

Thank you

While there isn't a specific hierarchy, you can shutdown the agents first, followed by EUM, the controller and then enterprise console, and reverse the process for startup.
