Machine-agent installation - Unrecognized field "agentType"

I'm receiving this error in agent log while configuring the machine-agent.

I've not been able to find any property for agent type at the agent side. Is this something to be changed at the controller end?

Hi user, welcome in the AppD forum.

Is that a new installation? I'd check your controller version (click on the question mark on the top right corner and "about AppD") and check the agent version.

Agent versions should be lower than the controller's one.

Please let us know.

Hi Jb,

Well, my controller version is AppDynamics Version 4.2.14.0, build 12.

Will an agent version 4.2.14.0 work well or should I install agent version 4.2.13.1?

No it's good like this.

Don't know why then.
Let's see if someone else has an idea
