Rolewise dashboard display

Dear All,

I have an app and in that app i have 2 dashboards: dashboard1 and dashboard2.

and i have 2 roles : role1 and role2

I want only the user with role1 to see the dashboard1 and user with role2 to see the dashboard2. Both the dashboard are in the same app.

Please let me know in splunk how can we do that.

I have done this via java script. But can we do through splunk directly.

HI santosh11,
when you created roles, you enable app for both the roles and then assign the appropriate grants to tha dashboard in [dashboards -- Edit -- Edit Permissions].

Remeber to give the correct grants to all the objects in you dashboards (eventtypes, fields, tags, ....) not only to dashboards.
