Install Splunk DB Connect.
Download and install the PostgreSQL drivers (and update permissions/ownerships).
Restart Splunk.
Configure the DB connection settings.
It's a lot more straightforward / easier than it seems. It's a great tool and super easy to install/configure/use.

Hi @codebuilder
I have DB connect app installed--> postgresql driver installed --> I got the hostname, userid, password, port, JDBC URL, SQL query from the customer. In my test instance I have created an identity and while creating a connection with the details provided by the user, I got below error.
Database connection is invalid
[Amazon]JDBC Null Pointer Exception.
