I finally have fixed my kvstore issue and my install failing for Splunk 7.3.1.
we use the Windows Infrastructure app - we are using WMI instead of the splunk universal forwarder to get information from our
windows servers. I have updated the Windows app from ver 5 to ver 6.
While stepping thru the setup, it ask for Prereqs - we have all of these. Next it asks for data checks and all that I get is
warnings, and "no data detected" I have installed the Add on for windows active directory, perhaps we do not need that.
The other warnings indicate that it expects a Splunk Universal forwarder to be configured. Since we are using WM! and not a forwarder can I safely bypass the data checks?
