I ran the Splunk Upgrade Readiness App and it indicates a Status: Warning for Python scripts and a Status:Blocker for files named test.py. Is this correct? This app is listed as 8.0 compatible.

When I search the custom index I can see data, but nothing appears on the Sparkline graph.

When I create a new input and change the index from default to another index, nothing is logged. If I don't change the index, logging is fine. Is this an issue or should I just use the default index?

In ver 1.2, I receive an error: Error in 'SearchParser': The search specifies a macro 'timesince' that cannot be found. Reasons include: the macro name is misspelled, you do not have "read" permission for the macro, or the macro has not been shared with this application. Click Settings, Advanced search, Search Macros to view macro information. Anyone else seeing this?

Thanks to those who answered. I opted to use the new role and set okta as the default index as it was the simplest solution. I will explore the other suggestions as well.

I selected the main index mistakenly during the installation of the Splunk app and add-on for Okta. How do I change this so that the correct index is selected automatically? The index I configured is collecting data as I can specify index=okta in a search and receive current information, it's just that the dashboards aren't displaying the any current information. Splunk 6.6.0 installed on a Ubuntu server. Thanks.
