Good luck extracting data which the API doesn't give you. Whether you use python or anything else it doesn't detract to the basic fact that the API does not enable you to get to the data I am referring to. FYI, I use python too...

In the end I logged a support call. "We do not have any API to get these values" was the answer. Better luck next time 🙂

Hi all, I am trying to extract threshold values I have defined for some BTs under an app. I can find API calls to get controller level settings, health rules, apps in a controller etc. but nothing like threshold settings (the ones that are used to classify a transaction as slow/very slow). Anyone aware of a solution for this? regards Philippe

Rahul, you may be able to use the rollup feature to get better granularity (rollup=false). As Kenji said, aged data is aggregated and the base data is then deleted. However, you can change the number of days after which this happens, this is a controller level setting AFAIK. regards

However the description field is not exposed, which is a real pain for us as we were planning to use it as a mapping to our application register. Thanks for your suggestions Ryan. Unfortunately, we are not on prem so direct SQL access to DB is not possible. It must be done via API... Manual solution suggested is not an option either, looking for programmatic way. regards Philippe

Thanks Ryan I use the analytics API already to retrieve browser request records for EUM but there's nothing there I know of or that I am able to find for appkeys... Same thing with the other APIs you pointed me to. As appkeys are defined on the controller, I wouldn't expect an analytics API to provide these data points but then again, sometimes it doesn't always work as expected 🙂 So back to square one. It is conceivable that this simply isn't possible in the product. regards Philippe

Hi all, Is there a way of extracting a list of EUM appkeys via API from a controller in the same way it is possible to extract the APM application list? eg. "https://<controller_name>.saas.appdynamics.com/controller/rest/applications" I have trawled the doc but found no mention of this... Many thanks in advance! Philippe

You probably need to script this. Using REST API, retrieve your metric for Monday 8am-8m, then Tuesday etc. Aggregate the results to get your weekly value. To make your life more simple you might want to run this job every day at 8pm and specify a 12 hours time window with the time-range-type=BEFORE_NOW&duration-in-mins=720. However, to get a precise answer you will need to specify the start and end time stamps. Note that AFAIK the event server wants timestamps in UTC timezone. example: SELECT metrics.enduserresponsetime from browser_records where eventTimestamp >= '2022-05-05T08:00:00.000Z' and eventTimestamp <= '2022-05-05T19:59:59.999Z'

Same thing in the metrics browser. This attribute is called the config ID. However, I cannot see how to map the number (59 in the above example) to the (service name, URL target, machine agent server) identifier. I cannot find the (service name, URL target, machine agent server) triplet identifier of the SAM monitor anywhere in the metrics tree. Any clue? Thanks in advance regards Philippe
