How do I read the data on a JSON req received on AppD instrumented server and display that data on a dashboard?

For monitoring the JVM heap space we have health rules for the overall used% of the memory. This system works well but we have a few applications in which when routine jobs are being executed the old gen stays almost full for days with little space reclaimed up after each major GC and the new-gen keeps on being completely used and freed up between frequent GC cycles. The heap space of such nodes gets used up to 97-98% at times before it is freed up and this creates a lot of unnecessary events on AppD. How do we configure health rule for JVM heap space of such nodes so that fake alerts are minimized and OOM errors are prevented from occurring?

How do I integrate appdynamics with service now. I want to make a policy or use an API through which if there is an event on AppD, an incident is automatically created on service now?

We recently orchestrated an application on the dev environment and everything went well but now what is happening is that the nodes agent status keeps going to 0% and then they replicate themselves (within the tier). I have attached a SS that might give a clearer picture. These copies of java nodes get deleted from the controller after the application server is restarted but then the issue reoccurs. My best guess is that there was something incorrectly done while deploying the agents and I was hoping if someone else would also faced the same issue and might be able to tell me what could be wrong. We are having issues with an app agent on one of the nodes of our instrumented application. Its status keeps dropping down to 0% and comes back up once it is reset. The support team advised us to upgrade the agent's version as the current version is outdated (v 4.0.4.0). Now I cant find a relevant article in the documentation on how exactly it can be done. According to the documentation the schedulers works as per the controller's time zone.

AppDynamics actively monitors the Time Spent in Database and Executions and Average Number of Active Connections on the database dashboard. Is there a way I can configure a health rule that triggers when the value of these metrics is less than a certain value or becomes null?

I have configured a health rule scheduler in which it is supposed to trigger at 4 PM and end at 4:30 PM (just for testing). Now the thing is that the rule is triggering at 4 PM but it doesn't end at 4:30 PM. I have attached a SS of the details to this thread. Please suggest what could possibly be wrong with this. Hi Eric. Thanks for your response. The issue has been resolved, what was happening is that I was using my saml non admin account in order to create the health rule which is why they were not triggering. I should have kept that in mind. Thanks

Thank you for replying on my post.I have selected the correct oracle databases for affected entities. After a lot of tweaking what I did was I copied an existing health rule and saved it with a different name and different values for warning and critical so that it triggers but again the original rule( from which I copied the attributes) is working in the meanwhile the new rule still doesnt have the selected databases in the current evaltuation column. 😕

I have been trying to create a health rule but it doesnt seem to trigger. Now I have copied all of the parameters from an existing rule that works and have saved it with a different name but now again the newly made rule again doesnt trigger. What I think the issue is that I do not see the affected entities ( databases) in the current evalutation screen. What might be the issue here? Suggestions will be appriciated.
