Hello guys, I have [WinEventLog://Security] inputs.conf setup. However , I would like to see the machine/server type and OS type in the index which is currently not there. How can I bring this data in. I have checked the raw data and no such infomation. Your thoughts? Thanks in advance. Cheers.. Regards

Hi All, I'm setting an alert and sending email notification to my inbox. I have a field called Time and basically it calculates the duration. Example: "25 minutes ago" Hence , when I include the field in the message , like below: $result.Time$ I get message in my inbox in seconds. Example: Host abcd CPU usage reached 97% 1680502445 . Please investigate. So if you look here , the 1680502445 is the time duration in seconds. It suppose to pick the summarized time as per the column result. Hello everyone I'm new to Splunk . I'm trying to setup/intergrade GitHub Cloud logs into Splunk Cloud. I have managed to get the Splunk GitHub Add-On added to the Splunk IDM. Currently , I'm awaiting for an account for GitHub created . Once , I have the account ,will proceed to setup the inputs. Anyone has done this before? 🙂 Thanks & Regards Murali

Hello , Speaking about the Splunk Add-on for Github, I'm in the midst of getting it installed in my Cloud Environment for the first time. However , I'm just curious or not sure , how the logs will be sent to the add-on from GitHub. Do we just need the input in place or we need the Splunk Connect for Syslog ( SC4S)? Can someone please help? Thanks Murali
