I have setup Cluster master, indexer cluster & Search head cluster. I have a new environment for monitoring console. When I go to Settings > Monitoring Console > Settings > General Setup & switch to Distributed mode servers are not showing up under remote instances. Can someone help me on it.

I have indexer cluster setup with a load-balancer in front of it. I want the syslog to be ingested into the indexer. My plan is to install Universal forwarder on the Linux servers and send the syslog to Indexer clusters. Now the problem is how can i configure universal forwarder to hit load-balancer to ingest the data ?

Thanks for the update @gcusello. It worked by running the command "splunk enable boot-start -systemd-managed 1". Also what is the best practice to start the splunk ? Is that needs to be started by "root" user or the "splunk" user

I have downloaded splunk 9.2 rpm file and installed on rhel9.2. While i'm running splunk enable boot-start it's throwing the error as below. [root@splunk~]# splunk enable boot-start
execve: No such file or directory
while running command /sbin/chkconfig

Hello,
I have 10 servers with syslog generated. How do I ingest those syslog into the Splunk server. I have gone through the SC4S document. Do I have to install Splunk Connector for Syslog on all 10 machines ? or Do we have any other best way to ingest the syslog ? Also can we use Secure syslog port 6514 ?
