We've already heavily modified the TA-SFDC app for our needs and fixed some bugs, but we don't have time and resources to build a full-fledged app. Splunk should build an integration with cloud systems more closely into the product IMHO.

Hello, Salesforce is becoming the global leader in CRM/Sales services, but Splunk doesn't seem to have a "certified" or "official" solution to index Salesforce events/log data/etc. The only app for Salesforce/Splunk integration is "TA-SFDC", that is highly unsupported and unreliable (we've tested it). Is Splunk planning for a solution to index cloud (Salesforce in particular) data? Thanks in advance.

Hello, I have a search that returns records like those: PivotField1 hour1 countOfCalls averageDuration PivotField1 hour2 countOfCalls averageDuration PivotField2 hour1 countOfCalls averageDuration PivotField2 hour2 countOfCalls averageDuration ... I'd like to "group by" pivot fields and show counts and averages on the same line, like this: PivotField1 countOfCallsForhour1 averageDurationForhour1 countOfCallsForhour2 averageDuration_forhour2 PivotField2 countOfCallsForhour1 averageDurationForhour1 countOfCallsForhour2 averageDuration_forhour2 ... Is this possible with a search? Thanks

Thanks. So we have either to: Configure filtering server-side ($SPLUNK_HOME/etc/system/local/props.conf and transforms.conf) Use an "heavy" forwarder (i.e. Splunk itself) Is this right?

Hello, we've set up a transforms.conf filter in one of our forwarders (to lower indexed volume per day), but the configuration is not working (events are not filtered out). Log lines (events) we want to exclude look like this: 26/06/2012 18:24:31 | ReadLstOfValTable | INFO | Numero di record estratti [1] We have configured transforms.conf and props.conf like this: props.conf [SiebelDataADP] TRANSFORMS-null= SiebelDataADPFiltro1 transforms.conf [SiebelDataADPFiltro1] REGEX = .*Numero\sdi\srecord\sestratti\s.* DEST_KEY = queue FORMAT = nullQueue Any hints?
