The saved search Audit - Index Readiness , along with a few other searches in SA-Utils and the lookups the write out to, are the basis for the data returned by the contentinfo REST endpoint. Can you re-make the input stanza and try indexing afterwards? You might also want to try using either 1.3.5 (December 2017), 1.3.7-dev, or a current snapshot of master (https://github.com/seunomosowon/TA-mailclient) I can report that I started using 1.3.7-dev in Splunk 7.1.4 and it indexed mail successfully. ... I'm receiving this same crash dump on 7.1.0 in a docker container. I've set up my Proxy and RootCA settings to access the internet and download apps/content. Yes, we can certainly install from tar.gz packages downloaded from splunkbase, but that's not an appropriate answer to a hard crash like this. Hopefully someone can investigate further. ... Hello, I am testing this app out with CSV attachments -- already 10x better than our current IMAP ingestion. For all of the emails I've tested, I am receiving the following error: #START_OF_MULTIPART_2 #BEGIN_ATTACHMENT: *attachment name*.csv Mail found with unexpected codec - <type 'exceptions.TypeError'> #END_ATTACHMENT: *attachment name*.csv #END_OF_MULTIPART_2 This is with 1.3.7dev. The CSV attached in this example is pure UTF-8, no quotes, three columns, 45 lines. There is one blank line on line 46, but I imagine this wouldn't break parsing a CSV file. I don't have control over the received emails, but they will be as described, so I haven't tested removing the last blank line. Any assistance in fixing this would be greatly appreciated.
