What does the transports section of your configuration (the json file) look like? It looks like that may be where the Simdata engine is getting confused. You can also remove the transports section entirely (including the "default_transport" key), and Simdata will output to standard out. It's looking like this is a error-handling problem with the app- when I fill the URL out with known good values it behaves as expected.
