network device Inventory check with splunk

Hi
I would like to know what is best way to get network inventory on splunk?
Just started some search and it appears "app Cisco networks" might be a good start for Cisco.
Cisco : Install app Cisco networks AND i can get cisco info?

Paloalto:

Appreciate if anyone can advise.

There are apps available on splunkbase for all of those vendors. I suggest to check the documentation for each to determine which will best fit your needs. Some will collect data for you while others (most?) will expect you to do that (often via syslog) and will only present data.
