Splunk Search

Why do I only see "no results found"?

I have 27,285,464 Events from 6 sources, but the console tells me that no search results are found.

Splunk Version
6.5.2
Splunk Build

ex: ./splunk search 'index=* | stats count by host | fields - count'

Make sure the SPLUNK user running the command line search has permission to view the data too.
