Splunk Search

Need help with splunk-launch.conf

Hello fellow Splunkers!

I'm SUPER NEW at using splunk and I have received the same error message. I was hoping this would help but I can seem to get it. How do I config $SPLUNK_HOME/etc/splunk-launch.conf: when I type it into the terminal it tells me: "No such file or directory" any help?

That's because when no modifications have been made to it yet, the file is called splunk-launch.conf.default

You can copy it to a file called splunk-launch.conf and then make the required modifications.
