Hello,

I am looking to split the log entry into tag using below link.

https://community.splunk.com/t5/Splunk-Search/How-do-I-split-a-log-entry-into-tags/m-p/50109#M12034

Would like to know can we use the code as is because I dont have tags defined.

Thanks

Splitting a log entry into tags is a waste of time if you don't have any tags defined.  Either you don't need to perform the operation or you need to define some tags first.
