Configuring LDAP authentication from Splunk UI - Splunk Community

Hi, I need to know the steps and understnading on how to configure LDAP authentication via GUI which is available here:

Settings- Authentication methods- LDAP

If anyone can share the understanding and exact steps, that will be helpful.
