Event activity time

Hi Splunkees,

Suppose I have this event time.

Where can I find out what time zone my search head is reported as so that I can convert it to my local time (US Pacific Standard)?  I am using splunk cloud.

Splunk Cloud uses UTC.  To choose the time zone for Splunk to display, click on your name then select Preferences and pick a time zone.

Rich thank you for that valuable information. If I make the change would it only apply to my view or will it apply to everyone else that has an account as well?

They're your preferences so they only apply to you.
