Support for Kafka in .NET agents

Dear AppD Team,

I have a few services written in .NET Core running on Linux containers. I'm using the latest .NET agent for Linux.

Among these services are a Kafka producer and a Kafka consumer. We are finding that AppD does not see the Kafka traffic between these services.

Do the .NET agents currently support Kafka?

Thank you for posting to the community.
Unfortunately, Kafka is not supported by .NET agent for back-end detection by default.
Supported back-end list is written in the document below.

However, you can create a Custom Exit Point to detect back-end for Kafka.
Please see the document below for adding a custom exit point.
