SAP agent connection to Controller

When starting up the HTTP SDK Proxy and try connecting to the controller we get the following error:

401 UNAUTHORIZED

The request has not been applied because it lacks valid authentication credentials for the target resource.

It looks as if the page requires authentication.

Can you please assist, We are doing a POV at Telkom and this is stopping us from connecting to our controller

We will be posting some new KB articles which include hits and tips for this type of question. We also have a new release coming out this month which includes additional automation in deployment and configuration. For now, I would try these steps:

  1. Check if Http SDK proxy is reached
  2. Check if the process is running
  3. Start/Restart process
  4. Stop the process
  5. Read logs -> the screen “AppDynamics HTPP SDK proxy log files” opens, here you can save the logs to the local file and send them to support for the analysis.

Please work with your AppD sales and SE team on the POV as well.

Hi,

I would just like to know, where do you configer the SDK proxy (HTTP SDK proxy configuration) Whit in SAP or directly with in the linux folder?

And from where to you start en restart the proxy sdk manger. Our SAP team does not want to grant us access to SAP so they are doing the config which makes it difficult for us to assist

COnfiguration is all done via SAPGUI SDK manager as explained here : https://docs.appdynamics.com/display/SAP/Set+Up+SAP+ABAP+Agent
