Required Memory Metrics for .Net Application

Hi Team,

There is a requirement to have Memory metrics for .NET Application.

As we understood from AppD documentation, In order to view the Hardware / Memory (.NET) metrics for .NET Application, we need to enable the embedded .NET Machine Agent. So it won't be available OOTB with only .NET Agent machine Agent installed , Please confirm on this.

If we have Java Agent, then I believe we would get OOTB Memory (Java) metrics.

Please share the links if it is explicitly mention about Memory (.NET) and Memory (Java) metrics.

Regards,

Anant

Hi Anant,

For .Net, you dont have to enable machine agent, it is enabled by default after you install the .net application.

I would suggest that you install the agent and then explore the metrics you are looking for.

You can find some more details here, https://docs.appdynamics.com/display/PRO44/Configure+the+.NET+Machine+Agent

Thanks,

Gurmit.
