Regarding machine agent license

I had a doubt regarding the machine agent. When we acquire licenses for monitoring JAVA applications, in other words, when we install an app server agent, do we also get a corresponding machine agent license bundled with it? To put it simply, do we PAY for machine agent licenses as well(in addition to the JAVA agent licenses) ?

Hi @Anonymous

As per the License Entitlements and Restrictions,

"Each unit of the products in the Application Performance Monitoring section  includes one unit of Machine Agent and Universal Agent at no cost, but such Machine Agent and Universal Agent shall only be used on the instance of the OS being monitored by the purchased unit."

The documentation covers license information and please let us know if you are looking for any specifics.

Hope it helps.
