Machine vs App agent install/start order

Hi All!

I was just wondering is there any specific recommended order to install the machine and the APM agent?

Does it matter if I install the machine agent first and after that the APM agent?

What about the start order? Should I ensure that the machine or the APM agent start first after a reboot?

Thank you for your help!

Best,

Sandor

Hi,

as far as I know, you can modify use and restart MA from any server the metrics works (if you use service check or powershell you can restart agent without restart server or service it's work) , if you use .net agent, you need to start the .net agent before.
for an example in IIS you need to start the .net agent and second step start the iis.

Sorry for my bad english

Bye
