The love&hate story between Splunk and adblock is a long one.
To make it short, splunkweb cannot operate with adblock disabling it's functionality client-side.
The classic issues are menu not displayed, overlay issues, and seems to be more frequent on firefox.

The only solutions are :

  • whitelist the splunk search-head server on on your adblock (add an exception)
  • or disable adblock
