Anyone knows what is the problem?

Solution

Double check that the "Link hostname" field in Manager » System settings » Email alert settings is the IP address or hostname of the search head.

Double check that the "Link hostname" field in Manager » System settings » Email alert settings is the IP address or hostname of the search head.

And also check the ../splunk/var/log/splunk/python.log on the PDFserver to see the exact errors
