I'm working on a usecase where I have to report on when plain text passwords being used.  Please help me in sharing some knowledge over this usecase.

Please provide more information about the use case.  How will you detect plain-text passwords?  "Being used" for what?  Aren't all passwords plain-text when they are entered?
