i have a problem. I try to open up a pdf file and get:
"Cant open the file there is a problem with the File Format".
Any idea why this corruption is taking place?

I had the same problem. Try to use PDF Fix Toolboxhttp://www.pdf.fixtoolbox.com/
The utility reads corrupted PDF files and restores the data into a new file.

Hi, what is your Platform ?
If Linux, do you know if Xvfb X server, xauth, and base fonts are installed properly.
I had the same problem several years ago with splunk 4 and my problem was on the version of Xvfb .
