When doing a Splunk upgrade, how do I detect the new version?

here is splunk at some path (/splunk)

splunk stop.

I install new version

splunk start

splunk find new version....(new version detect message...)

how to check new version??

hi,

using CLI and are you positioned in the bin directory of splunk .

for windows, try like this:

C:\Program Files\Splunk\bin>splunk -version

and get this result:

"splunk version" in CLI or you can check at the bottom of the Splunk Web login page.
