I'm trying to download the installation files from www.splunk.com, but I'm not seeing anything happen after it goes to the "Thank you for downloading" page.
Please ensure that you have anything that blocks website tracking abilities (such as for Google Analytics) turned off. I use Ghostery (a plug in for Chrome) and discovered that having the tracking blocker turned on for this website broke the downloads.
I will file a bug with the developers to correct this or to at the very least post a message explaining why it's not working.

I'm also unable to download the windows 6.3.3 forwarder client. Tried IE and Chrome.... using Windows 7.... tried from a server running 2008 r2 ( on IE).... same issue. The box never pops up to download the software. I do get pop ups to download a htm.gz file though.
I was able to download the full splunk and even the linux version. Just not the windowws one.
I think there's something going on. I'm seeing the same thing on multiple machines and multiple browsers. Sometimes I just see the black banner at the top and nothing else. I did notice after inspecting with firebug that one request is 404'ing, perhaps this is the one for the download.
Given the banter that has gone though the #splunk IRC room today and this splunk reactions post, I'd say you are not alone.
He's not alone, I'm unable to download too.
This was an issue over a year ago - are you still having issues?
I'm not able to download on Mac OS. No error. It's stuck at "your download is starting..."
There were also some issues last week with popup blockers interfering with the download on certain browsers. The web team pushed some hot fixes that should have resolved the problem, but if that is a possible cause in your environment, they would like to hear the details.
