How do I calculate the data required for a Splunk Enterprise install?

How do I calculate the amount of data / disk space required for a Splunk install. e.g. If I had a 10 gb license for Splunk Enterprise installed in my organization and wanted to be able to search through the data for 90 days, how much data do I typically need?

Is there some sort of calculation guide for this? My guess is it's not 1 to 1 e.g. 10gb * 90 = 900gb but I don't know

I am guessing by data required you mean disk space required. If so, then here is an amazing tool that can help you determine required disk space based on the architecture/topology you've.
