Why am I getting a timeout error trying to configure the tomcat add-on for splunk to connect to tomcat jmx url?

Encountered the following error while trying to update: Splunkd daemon is not responding: (u"Error connecting to /servicesNS/nobody/Splunk_TA_tomcat/apps/local/Splunk_TA_tomcat/setup: ('The read operation timed out',)",)
