IP Address of Search Head

I'm configuring one computer as a forwarder and another as the receiver. How do I find the IP address that the forwarding computer needs to send to? In other words, how do I find the IP address of the Search head on the receiving computer?

Use the ifconfig or ipconfig command on the receiving system to find the IP address.

When I use that command, it pulls up a long list of items. Under which heading, would the IP address I need be under?

It'll be listed as "IPv4 Address" or "inet addr" and you may have more than one.  Choose the address corresponding to the interface/device you want to use.
