How do you get the bucket info (name/path) to use with coldToFrozen script

The example coldToFrozen script that comes with splunk, requires the name and path of the bucket to be frozen. Once it gets that it deletes everything from the bucket except for the rawdata. This is fine and dandy, but how do you pass it the bucket info?

If you use a the cold2frozenDir, you could run a script to archive the buckets in there and to remove replicated buckets.

The example script isn't very useful if you don't have the bucket.

thanks

You don't.

By specifying coldToFrozenScript in indexes.conf, splunk takes care of calling the script with the appropriate parameters when a bucket is due to be frozen.
