My JS file:

alert("Allert3");

My Dashboard XML:

<form script="filejscript.js">
  <label> InitializationDashboard </label>
  <row>

    <html>
      <body>
        <h1 id="mainH1"> H1 Yey </h1>
      </body>
    </html>

  </row>

</form>

Can anyone give me some tips about using JS or another script at splunk?

Hi,

did you have a look at this?
http://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/Splunk/7.1.1/AdvancedDev/CustomizationOptions

What ou are describing looks like you did not '_bump' after doing the changes in the js file.
