Track 32 bit .Net standalone app on 64 bit Windows server

Hi !

We're trying to monitor a 32 bit .Net standalone app on 64 bit Windows server. We've installed the 64 bit agent and defined PoCo entry points but we see no business transactions on the controller. The logs show the message

dllhost 1 11 Warn InstanceCounting Could not get DAC location for pid 2620.  This may be a result of architecture mismatch such as enabling OIT on a 32 bit process while running a 64 bit Coordinator.

We've already tried including the default app domain, but that didn't change anything.

Does anybody have experience with this scenario ?

Hi Martin,

Can you create a support case and attach the "DotNetAgent" folder located at "C:\ProgramData\AppDynamics".

Thanks,

Raunak

Hi Bill!

Just to clarify what our scenario is:

The client tier of the application we want to monitor is a mix of 32 bit C++ and .Net code (hence the .Net ist running in X86 mode). Since Microsoft abolished 32 bit server OSes, our terminal servers are 64 bit.

MS Tools like Windows Performance Recorder are able to get a stack trace of the app.

Thanks

Hi Martin

We have released a C ++ agent it's a native style in early stages but proven you might have possibility to monitor the C++ code

Hi Raunak,

we're evaluation the product and trying to find out if AppDynamics can monitor our software at all. With my test account, I'm not allowed to open a support case.

Thanks

Martin
