We would like to enable Object Instance tracking on our applications running on production. What is the overhead of enabling this feature and keeping it on all the time?

Thanks

Like Arun said, OIT is not designed to run all the time in a production enviroment.  It is really only meant to be run for an hour or two, but not days.  Of course, in a test enviroment, you could probably get away with running it for a full day, but even then, you probably would not want to run it much longer than that.

If you must turn it on you can of course just monitor some custom classes that you may be concerned with.

Hi Sudip,

We request you to enable the OIT feature only during diagnostic session and disable back once debugging session is completed, it is not recommended to keep enable this feature over long period however enabling and disabling for short period should not be adding considerable overhead to memory. Hope that clarifies.

Regards,

Arun
