What do you mean by EC2 instance ID? What do you expect to see on the flow
map?
If I understand correctly, you can use the EC2 ID when you name the nodes.
And therefore you will see in Tiers and Nodes the given names.
The flow map is a application topology therefore independent from the
underlying infrastructure.

Yes, you are right.

I can use EC2 instance ID and give them as a node name, then will be able to see in the AppDynamics dashboard.

But my concern is i have three ec2 instance and for ec2 instance id if I have give application-name to all EC2 instance, then in the Appdynamics dashboard in the particular application I can see ec2 instance with the node name, because each node has same name. now if i want to check which node has which ec2 instance id. so from where appdynamics dashboard i can see ec2 instance id.

Hi Afreen,

This forum is a collaborative one and can't replace support (https://www.appdynamics.com/support/). So we do our best to help you as soon as we can.

Can you give us a bit more context to what you are trying to do?

Do you have a Java or .Net or any other AppServer agent on the same instance?

Have you checked if your agent reports correctly (settings button on the upper right corner then AppDynamics agent)?
You can also check machine agent log file (machineagentinstalldir/log/machineagent.log file).

Thanks

JB
