Hi,

I'm facing a weird error while starting the java agent. I've just downloaded the last agent version and run in my environment.

$ java  -agentpath:$HOME/tmp/javaagent.jar -jar myapp.jar

Error occurred during initialization of VM
Could not find agent library /home/jairson/tmp/javaagent.jar in absolute path, with error: /home/jairson/tmp/javaagent.jar: invalid ELF header (Possible cause: endianness mismatch)

$ java -version

java version "1.8.0_60"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_60-b27)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.60-b23, mixed mode)

$ uname -a

Linux jpad227225 4.4.0-31-generic #50-Ubuntu SMP Wed Jul 13 00:07:12 UTC 2016 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

I did not find any issue like this involving AppDynamics agent. Can someone give me some direction?

Thanks,

Jairson Cabral
