and configure another email I receive this error message:(I believe that my mailbox and email password are written correctly.)
18/07/20 11:05:40.660 07-20-2018 11:05:40.660 +0800 ERROR ExecProcessor - message from "python /opt/splunk/etc/apps/TA-mailclient/bin/mail.py" ERRORLogin failed on pop.domain.com for username: myemail@domaincom
what should I do ?
I'll try add a work around, to maybe move any mails found with the problem to a folder. Some emails that might come with a different encoding may not be supported by the limited Python that comes out of the box with Splunk. You could also try using phantom to consume the emails. It may support the full character set.
Hello @seunomosowon unfortunately I also have the same problem with one mailbox now. Have you been able to implement a workaround? It would be so great to proceed further with other mails in the mailbox and ignore only which comes with a wrong charset
