Splunk- tableau connectivity

Hi ,

I tried to connect the splunk from Tableau 9.2 server, and asked me server URL and credentials.

After entering all the detials i got the below error,

An Error Occured while communicating with data source.....serve name... Unable to connect the server.

But when i given the same URL in the browser it allowed to browse the same.

Note :I have intsalled Splunk odbc 64- bit drive since my tableau server also 64-bit... please help on this

Some thoughts...

Are you using the http://servername.com on port 8089? Don't use port 8000.
Don't put a / like http://servername.com/ at the end of the URL
Ensure there are no network ports being blocked from your client to port 8089 on the server.
